LetsCalm runs on your phone and listens for the sounds that mean your cat or dog is not okay. When it hears them, it plays calming audio and can let you know by email. Every sound is analyzed on the device itself; nothing is recorded or uploaded. PRIVATE BETA
How it works
It listens
A tiny, low-power model checks the microphone a few times a second for pet vocalizations. Everything else, from your conversations to the TV, is ignored and discarded immediately.
It understands
When a pet is heard, a larger on-device model reads the mood of a cat's vocalization, and measures how persistent a dog's barking is. The app shows a live attention level so you can see how your pet is doing.
It responds
Sustained distress triggers a gentle pattern interrupt: a calming track, a purr, or your own recorded voice. Optionally, it emails a verified address so you know while you're out.
Privacy by design
- Audio never leaves your phone. Sound is turned into numbers in memory, analyzed, and thrown away. There is no recording and no upload.
- No account, no ads, no tracking in the app. The app works without signing up and contains no advertising or analytics SDK. This website uses Google Analytics for visit counts only.
- Alerts are opt in. Email alerts only exist if you enter an address and confirm it with a code, and you can switch them off at any time.
- Crash reports are technical only. If the app fails, it sends a stack trace and device details so we can fix it, never audio or personal details.

Download the beta
LetsCalm is in private beta. On first launch the app asks you to read and accept the beta participation agreement.
Install on iPhone or iPad
LetsCalm is distributed through Apple's TestFlight during the beta. TestFlight will offer to install itself first if you don't have it.

Google Play requires two quick steps for beta apps. Use the same Google account that is signed in on your phone for both.
- Join the LetsCalm testers group
Tap Join group on the page that opens. This is what tells Google Play you are a tester.
